HURON, Ohio – Firelands Scientific is proud to announce it completed the first legal sale of medical cannabis in the State of Ohio, a defining moment for both patients and the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program.

The first sale took place at The Forest – Sandusky, with one of the earliest patients being Chris McCourt, mother of CEO Jeff McCourt, who lives with severe rheumatoid arthritis. “It’s a comfort knowing that alternatives are finally available in Ohio,” she said. “Because of my condition, I lost so many things I loved doing, but now I have hope and relief thanks to this program.” Her story represents the compassion and purpose driving Firelands Scientific’s work.
